Lindis Summit captures one of those fleeting moments on the journey through Lindis Pass, where the landscape suddenly opens up around a bend in the road.
Golden high-country hills rise against dramatic teal and navy mountains — a view hidden by the folds of the nearer hills, then suddenly revealed before disappearing again as the road winds deeper into the mountains.
I wanted to capture that sense of discovery, and the extraordinary contrast of colour that makes this part of the South Island landscape so memorable.
